I am 57 with a 19.5 Index and an 85mph swing speed and a bad left knee. Played 9 holes Sat with the Wilson Duo for the first time and Shot 41 with a Triple on nine. My Drives are usually around 220 yrds, first hole into a very brisk wind 240 yrds down the middle. With the wind I hit a 3 wood and drove the green of the 270 yrd (Down hill) par 4 and had to appologize to the two some on the green. Played Sun with my Member / Guest Partner and he was amazed at my new found distance. Played in my Monday nite league and my partner's comment "you are back and LONG". Gave him a sleeve of Duo's to try out.
I never dreamed that a golf ball could give me such confidence and change my game this much. Can't wait to play again this weekend. Going to give my 80 year olf Dad a dozen for Fathers day. Thank you Wilson, dont change a thing, this is a game changer!!!!

Spent the last week with chipping and putting....very good feel....comes off the face easily and boosts confidence. Played first round with the Duo today....Partners noted the lack of sound as it is struck....Mishits don't spin as badly and have better distance....Driver was 5-10 yds longer....3 Wood was 10-15 longer....I usually hit a 9 iron in the 120's, but had 2 of them today at 140 and right over the green. This is going to be a fun ball.

Delivers on the distance, but even more around the greens. I can't believe how this ball feels around the green. Putting is GREAT. I actually can't wait to putt now. It's soft and solid, no clicks or tings. Chipping felt like i was cutting through butter. Excellent ball, and I'm no longer experimenting with other balls. I hope this ball stays the same for years to come.

I playe in a tournament using the Duo's for the first time and won the long drive hole. The combination of distance of the tee and softness around the green is impressive. It surprised me coming from Wilson. I am going to try their tour balls next.

I played in an alternate shot tournament & my partner was a duo user & wanted to use his ball. I was amazed at its distance yet it had very good feel - especially around the greens. It felt great off the putter as well. I'm switching

I am by no means a professional golfer, but I like to think I'm pretty good. This ball is BY FAR the best golf ball I've ever played. It truly provides the best distance and touch that I've seen so far. I've played every significant ball on the market (Callaway, Titlest, Nike). I've tried them all, and I will use the Duo from now on. Well done, Wilson. Finally making strides with great products. I've already recommended it to my buddies

I'm an avid golfer and have experimented with many balls over the years, but the Wilson Duo is the best ball I've ever played. It delivers on distance and has given me renewed confidence in my short game. I will be sticking with the Duo.

Within the past 2 weeks I have now cracked my 3rd Wilson Staff ball. First it was a Zip, then the Elite 50 and now a DUO. While I like the feel and playability of these balls they are not worth using if you are going to experience this level of bad performance.
I have been playing for a long time and in over 40 years have only had 2 other balls crack during play.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I played a Duo and loved it. Bought 8 dozen on eBay and 11 out of the first dozen cracked. Cracking at the rate of about 80%. Somebody owes me!

Started playing the Duo about a month ago. On my second dozen, fantastic ball. I have always played a premium ball but this ball plays a good as any. Long off the tee and chips and putts great. The 40 compression makes it good for slow swing speeds you can really launch the ball. Durability is good, can play one ball for 18 holes and it still looks new. Finally the price is right. Give a dozen a try.

I've cracked open 2 of my first ten of these balls. Both of those cost me strokes. I still have 2 of the first dozen left plus another dozen. While I like the distance and feel, I'm not sure they're worth the awful shot when they come apart.

This ball is definitely long and surprisingly soft around the greens. However, off the tee I cracked two balls and end up with bogey and a double bogey. I've been playing golf for ten year and have never seen a ball do that. This ball is not reliable. I hope Wilson fix this problem because other wise the ball is great.

I played my first DUO yesterday (15 Mar '13) and just loved it. This was also my first round of 18 holes and I only did a mild warmup before teeing off. In fact, I have not been to the driving range this year because of weather and a mild knee issue. To say the least I was apprehensive. I am an 8 handicap, age 65, 105 clubhead speed but some talent and a pretty good judge of equipment. I am also a show-me kind of person. My drive was 278 yards about 3 feet into the rough. I am pretty sure that distance was achieved through the ball and not my ability so early in the season. The ball performed well off my irons also. I am convinced my next 18 will be just as rewarding. Buy a sleeve and try them.

Per my previous review of March 3 below, I decided to at least get some play out of the remaining 6 balls. Yet another 1 cracked. That's 3 balls out of 6. Definitely a pattern here. I wonder if Wilson is preparing a fix. Otherwise, it's a great ball but you just cant trust it.

I've been playing the Wilson Staff 50/50s for the second half of last season and really liked them. I switched to them from Titleist NXTs. Today was my first round with the Duos and I was probably 10-15 yds longer off the tee and noticed an increase in distance mainly with long and mid irons. I did have one 8 iron shot fly about 8-10 yds further than expected. I had no problem getting them to check up on the greens but I hit the ball high anyway.
It seemed to me these balls were a little straighter off the tee than the 50/50s. It seemed a little bit more difficult to put a little fade or draw on the ball than it did with the 50/50s. I don't have the skills to draw or fade with a great deal of accuracy but with the 50/50s I could work my way a few yards left or right around trees if necessary. With the Duos they didn't seem to respond as well. Not really a gripe but something to be aware of. Aim straight.
Overall a pretty good ball at a good price. I look forward to playing them more to see if the increase in yardage will be consistent through my set of clubs. If they are inconsistent I'll give up the few extra yards for consistency. I really do like the Wilson Staff 50/50s.
The Duos are a bargain and perform well. My only advice is that if you hit a baby fade or baby draw just aim straight.
My driver swing speed is around 95. I play older Wilson Staff Progressives and hit a 7 iron from 150yds. SW from 100.

Im 65 and still manage a 0 hcp here in TX and ALWAYS looking for length. This ball delivers. That said..cracking is a serious issue. I had 2 balls crack in the span of 3 holes and want you to know that by USGA RULE, you are not only entitled to replay the shot, rather you must replay the shot should the ball break, crack, etc as a result of the shot. Unfortunately, 1 of my shots dived into water so I had no evidence. 2 holes later I can show the ball..CRACKED! So..dont play it over water, cliffs, etc., and dont play if for $$$, or in a USGA or serious event. Its long but you cannot rely on it

I played a round this past weekend with the Wilson Staff Duo and was very pleased. the feel off the club face was similar to the ball I usually play, the Titlest NXT Tour. The Wilson seems to jump off the clup face and definitly carries farther than the Titlest. The Wilson also seems to spin better around the greens on short shots. Great product at a great price.
