I have used the 8882 for quite a while and have not found a better putter before or since I started using it. The balance is perfect. Other blade putters seem too light. The 8882 has just the right weight to allow good control and feel. The milled face gets the ball rolling without skidding or hopping. The original Wilson Staff 8802 putter was a great design and the 8882 keeps the simplicity of the original design. Some other brands with similar designs have a larger flange on the back, making them almost a half mallet putter, but the 8882 keeps the compact design and it works.

Struggled with putting over the years but it was just as much about my technique as the putters. I played with a pal who had the old version of this putter and I tried it. Straightaway it felt very comfortable, which I think was the fact that it was slightly heavier than my Odyssey. Anyway I decided to get one and the first surprise was the price - talk about value for money compared with other brands! It helped my putting right from the start and my technique has also improved as the putter is so well balanced, my lag putting is now a lot better.

Bought this putter to use as an option to my Rife mallet putter. Could not have made a better choice. Love it.

I've been putting with an older Wilson 8802 (Ben Crenshaw model) for about a year and have loved the simplicity and performance of that blade style. Glare from the shiny surface was my biggest concern thus I started to look for similar styles with a black finish. The 8882 model has it all. Black (anti glare) finish, grooved clubface and a comfortable grip. It's slightly heavier than the older model which has improved my stroke and results. Other models have inserts which I've never liked - the 8882 gives me a true feel when struck. Plus it's available in both LH and RH - a big plus for lefties like myself. Thanks for the upgrade - I'm a happy camper.

I am an advanced golfer and over the years had forgotten what a pure feel putter felt like in my hands. After watching Michelson win a tourney on t.v. I decided to try a blade putter myself and purchased the Wilson Staff 8882 for a test drive. To shorten the story I will just say it is staying in my bag. Man, it brought back the times of long ago when feel was everything in a putter. Also has a great look. Thanks Wilson. I love it.

I probably have 20 putters in the basement. ...Maybe 25. The one that goes to the golf course with me is the 8882. Classic design. Great feel. 5 Stars
