Men's FYbrid RS Fairway Utilities

FYbrid; it's "fairway" and "hybrid" combined. This clever line of fairway utilities fuses fairway woods and hybrids into a single family, allowing golfers to build proper distance gapping into their game.  FYbrids offer simple club selection with 1-to-1 replacement hybrids, with easy-to-hit fairway woods bridged by a unique multi-purpose FY 19.5 degree club.

This club fills my requirements, at the club I play at I was looking for a club that would get me out of trouble with my second shot after my drive, and give me distance, this club works well for me. Its also good of the tee, fairway or rough. On par fives on a good day it will leave me with a short iron into the green.

I tested the new FYbrids 19.5 and 3W at my local golf shop, and I was instantly impressed with the look of these clubs. I've been using the older HS FYbrid model, which were really great too. However, the new RS FY's just suited by eye much better at set up. I love the sleeker flatter crown of the RS and it's more square to the ball (compared to the larger draw bias on the the HS's). Having said that, the good people at my local golf shop allowed me to test these beauties out on the outdoor range and I even got in a couple rounds with them.
The new RS clubs have a very consistent ball flight (very easy to get in the air) and are extremely easy to hit on any lie. They are far more forgiving than the HS's and absolutely tears through rough. I have to admit, they did feel a little "softer" than the HS's (even with the stiff flex 6S shaft) and didn't feel as crisp at impact as the HS's. However, the RS's surprisingly had far more control, and didn't give up any distance at all. Overall, the RS's look better and out performed the HS's (I was hitting my fairways and greens with 25% more accuracy). The decision to upgrade and trade in the HS's was a tough one at the time, but for the price of these babies, I took the plunge. I've played 10 more rounds with them since and I've completely forgotten how enjoyable the old one's were after firing the ball on target with the new Rocker Sole's on EVERY SHOT! I was absolutely amazed and I have a TON more confidence on my long 200 and 230 yard shots. I used to be a 8-9 handicapper...
Wilson Staff just keeps making 'em better and better. If you're at all wondering about getting these, allow me to reassure you, (I've tested all the brands, now at a 6 handicap) GET THE ROCKER SOLE! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT when your index drops instantly by 2-3 strokes!

after playing the Wilson Staff Dh hybrids (3,4,5) for a number of years and mastering many challenges I decided to try then RS Fybrid FY (replacing the Dh 3) and 4# (replacing the Dh 5). foe some reason the lofts are very similar but the numbers have slipped one down as you can see. doing some practice swings I noticed a mighty difference in clubhead weight and an easier swing speed. Hitting thenfirst ball I was taken aback. the ball (Wilson Staff FG Tour) took off and had a perfect height and very impressive distance combined with what I consider a more controllable target line. I then used the 4# and was on the green on a paar five while watching the other players trying to get their driver loaded balls out of the rough and needing three to four to get on the green. Wilson Team, once again you have managed to come up with a great gearnworth every penny with a great overall performance and feel! Thank you!

Changed my whole 14year old starters golfset the last months, next to my Wilson FGv2 set I added the RS FY and RS 3Wood to complete my set, just 1 thing WAUW, as former baseball player you want to have something in your hands, these clubs are light with the sense of a having a club in your hand. straigh fly and ability to land without a lot of role.. depending on course circumstances, my ball distance for the 3Wood is between 220-250 meters and for the FY it is between 190-220 meters.
