This ball was so stable in the wind I could not believe it! I used a product called 'The Check-Go' to align the ball's cores just as I have done with other golf balls I have used, so this was a fair 'fight'! I have a set of Mizuno 825 Pro's with TT GS95 spined shafts and I could not be happier with the ball flight. I also have a 87 mph swing speed. The ball may look plain but it's performance is not. Dave B.

Great off of every club in my bag. Low copression but I lost no distance compared to z-stars or pro-v. I'm staying 280- 290 with a mid 90 driver speed. Much more of a luxurious feel. I've been playing the FG Tour balls all summer. With improved control I've found, I dropped from low 90's in March, to 2 79's in a row last Saturday and Sunday. Wilson Staff, please don't stop making these.

Well, well, well, following a long series of wondering around looking for a top performance ball (this includes trying many highly ranked and well advertised balls.....) I recently turned to the WS FG Tour ball. This step prompted me to stop my looking for THE ball as I can assure you I found it! Excellent feeling from the tee with very good distance, super good feeling from the fairway and around the green with ample of possilibities to get the ball there where I want it to be! And on the green I have never felt better than with this ball - astonishing feedback and comfort! The top class ball from tee to green allowing you to experience what a great ball feels like! A go to for every serious player out there!

After reading so many positive reviews on the FG Tour, I took a chance and bought a dozen. I was absolutely impressed with the soft feel when putting at home. On the course, the ball flew extremely straight off every driver. I normally play the Srixon ZSTAR/ProV1 and the FG Tour ball is comparable. Iron and wedge control were also very comparable. This ball is much softer than the ZSTAR with putting and off the driver face, so I will definitely stick with this ball for awhile. After 1 round, I ended up buying 5 dozen more of these off ebay. I have also stopped using the ProV1 and ZSTAR after playing with this ball, especially for the price I got them for on ebay.

Awesome performance this Fg tour ball same as the Pro V1 and X as well but more control as well as shot shaping capabilities. Distance increase and I had more stopping power than the other big company's. Very durable, on accident I hit a cart path one time and some tree's, the ball still looks the same as when I opened the container not even one bad mark on the ball for me. The look is pure white and looks nice. The feel was great and I can not complain about anything else. I would recommend it to a friend anytime.

I just played my first full round with this ball. Historically have played Penta TP and ProV1 and been generally happy. I am a 4 handicap wiith decent driver swing speed about 97-99. Things I look for in a ball are spin from less that 100 yards and feel on chips and putter. Durablity is something I pay attention to as well. Here are my impressions:
Less that 100 spin: Awesome.. Better than Penta... equal to Pro V!.
Feel: The best i have ever played. Very... very soft on wedges and putter.
Feel with Irons: Soft but not to soft for me. (this may be a personal thing).
Durability: Pretty good. Scuffed up a litte on wedges but so do other premium balls (That is why they spin)

We had a great demo day at Eglin Golf Club Friday and I asked the Wilson representative about the FG Tour ball. He gave me all the spec's but also provided me with a complementary sleeve of two. One was the Tour and the other the Tour X. I've played each ball for five days now and am convinced, the ball is all it's said to be! I'll be playing the FG Tour X in the future. I found the ball to have good distance for me, even though I'm not a long hitter. But what I liked most was the play-ability around the greens. This ball can be controlled where some have excessive bite or bite and then run out. I like the ability to fly my gap wedge about 30 yards, have it hop once and then sit down quick. This ball does exactly that. I'll be playing it today forward.

Have used these a lot the past year. I love the performance off all clubs, especially chipping and putting. They have a soft but confident feel. One minor complaint is that they turn slightly grey or yellow-grey, though this helps me from a distance i.d. my ball from my playing partner's. One major complaint is that I had one split open on a drive. Sounded like a propeller whizzing off, short and like a knuckleball. Our pro shop got some to try and they had one split too. Great ball if they can keep them together.

I had a golf ball fitting session with these coming out on top. i purchased a dozen and after experiencing the superb feel, distance and spin i won't use anything else, try them you will be surprised at its performance.

I received a dozen for Christmas. Wat a ball! I have been playing Calloway HX Diablo's for the feel. The Wilson Staff FG Tour has the same feel and distance but it is the green holding spin that blows me away.

I have privately tested top of the line golf balls for the last four years in hope of finding one to fit my game. In many cases, playing two or three balls at the same time. I had settled on the Titleist Pro V1x until I was asked to try a sleeve of Wilson FG tour. I have been shocked as to the length, feel around the green, putting and durability. I played with these for over a month and they are still in reasonable condition. My golfing buddies have tried them too and are very surprised with the performance so we have purchased 6 dozen to share. They are creating a buzz at our club. I plan on trying the Tour X's next. Great job Wilson, I guess they won't stay a secret long. (by the way, we are all single digit handicap golfers and very picky about our equipment)

The Wilson Staff FG Tour ball is a superb golf ball. The ball performs as well as any other high-end ball on the market at a price point that provides the best value for the money.

I tend to play 3 piece golf balls from other companies, ranging from the heavier/spinnier balls for more control on shorter courses and their 3 piece somewhat distance balls on longer courses. I was given a sample pack of the FG Tour Balls and skeptically decided to try one out the other day. 1 ball and 18 holes later I had just shot the best round of my life - an even par 72 - SEVEN strokes better than my old record of 79!!! The balls had just the right amount of spin, stopping right where they landed and not coming back too far off the greens. I had great distance and ball striking control, not to mention wonderful feel on the putting greens, rolling true the entirety of the round. I am a customer for life on these new balls. Thanks Wilson Staff!!

I wrote a review back in November recommending this ball to everyone.
I have played this ball, now for quite a while. Well, I have been playing golf a long time and have used all kinds of golf balls. I have never been loyal to one ball. However, I am very loyal to the FG Tour Ball, I even got a Hole In One using this ball, this past May. I orginally read an article about this ball in Golf Digest and decided to buy these balls. I am glad I did. Everyone who plays golf should play these golf balls. I will never play anything else. Thanks Wilson for continuing to make great products.

Having won a box of 12 of these balls I did a little research online and was a little sceptical about what Wilson and others say (long soft spin etc) as everybody was saying it is a tour quality ball. Now when people say these things the first thing you think is ‘so why don’t the Wilson Staff players play it’.
The day I received the balls in the post and got the balls out of the box and liked what I saw that being nice good graphics and a good alignment line, I must say the ball did feel a little rubbery.
I then went up to my club armed with my balls and after my warm up went to putt a little, lovely soft feel with a nice click off the putter face – 1 point to Wilson
I then started a bit of chipping and was surprised how quickly the ball was checking on even the softest of chips – 2nd point to Wilson
I then went and played on our par 3 which is a mix of full wedge and partial wedge shots, first hole full 56* wedge to 110 yards, lovely soft feel with great trajectory and my exact distance. As I approached the green I saw my ball was about 10 feet from the hole and then I noticed my pitch mark, I must have spun the ball maybe 8 feet on a hard dry green – point 3 to Wilson
After playing the rest of the par 3 holes I was left speechless at the amount of spin I was getting around the greens and thought that to have a ball that spins so much and feels so soft is not going to travel very far at all off of mid, long irons or of woods and driver.
So onto the last stage of testing, 9 holes out on the course. Well my fears of the ball not going anywhere where soon put to rest as I crunched my usual high draw with my driver over 300 yards down the first tee and just thought this ball is too good to be true but off I went and played my round, which turned out to be 18 instead of 9 as I was enjoying myself so much.
I went and had a word with my coach after I had played and he was intrigued by what I said, we have an 18 hole playing lesson next and he said he will give them a bash when we go out.
I must say I think this ball is ridiculously good and could very well be up there with the big boys, it is as long as anything on the market maybe longer (I am a big hitter and was crunching the ball all day), it spins just as much as anything I have ever used on every kind of shot, it is just as durable as any other.
The only thing I think might be off putting for low handicap players is that it feels SO soft, but it is something you will come to like very quickly.
Distance – 10/10
Feel – 10/10 ( but will take a few holes to get used to how soft it is)
Spin – 10/10
Durability – 9/10 (the same as I would give my current ball Pro V1x)

Been using FG Tour golf balls for the past 6-12mths after trying the zip ball. Have found this golf ball to fit my game, excellent spin response around the greens, good feel for putting. the ball can be scuffed but nothing like welting the old balata balls, average is 3-4 rounds before losing it aura, unless it has been lost. Distance, have possibly lost 2-3 metres but nothing substantial to really notice.

Have played the Pro V1 for last 6 years, tried the FG Tour today. The guys in my group said they thought the FG Tour was longer ( even into the wind ) straighter and gave me more spin. It seemed to me to have more carry. At 46 yrs of age I'm still a pretty big hitter - 119 mph with a driver and hit my 7 iron 183. I never needed to play the Pro V1x always felt I could control my shots better with the Pro V1. This ball more than delivered. My two best shots today were a 5 iron off a hard pan lie over trees to a flag 214 yds away. The ball just zoomed over the trees. And then I hit a drive 285 yds into a 35 mph wind on the last hole. My guys were shocked. They were talking about that drive later at the 19th hole. The closest guy was 52 yds back. I would say I hit my driver about 12 to 13 yds farther than normal. This is the longest spin ball I've ever hit, heck, what am I saying? It's the longest ball period. I hit one wedge shot today that backed up 5 paces and one foot. About 16 feet. Price was why I chose this ball - but performance has made it my new ball. It is nice to know a venerable company like Wilson is producing quality like this.

Pro: My swing speed is about 100mph and I was looking for a ball with distance off the tee and performance around the green. Hit a 3 wood off the deck 245 yards for eagle. The ball had a piercing ball flight and stopped extremely well on the green. I am amazed with the overall performance and would rate this ball above any thing on the market. In chipping you have to get it to the pin because it will stop quickly.
