Great control, very head light at 12.2 oz.

Not having particularly strong forearms and wrists as an older player, I was concerned that my first play with a racquet over 12 oz since my college years would be sluggish and tiring. This racquet completely surprised me with a very head light feel and remarkable quickness with no noticeable increase in fatigue ... in fact if anything I feel more confident to play a full five sets. The precision control, great plowthrough and exceptional spin (especially on slices) lend the confidence for a more relaxed swing with less tension in the grip and arm, reducing fatigue and enabling greater swing speed to offset the lower power of a pure control racquet. A real joy to play.

Excellent racket weight for a single handed backhand. Good feel, control and power. Similar to my head extreme pro 2.0.

Not what I Expected

I bought this racket, because I own last year's model in the 18x20. I chose 16x18, because I wanted more spin, and I thought it would be excessive to buy another 18x20 since I already have it. The racket is polarized (less mass in middle) compared to last year's, and it feels like it swings heavier than the listed swingweight. It doesn't initially feel heavy, but after a 15 to 20 hard hit non-stop rally, you will feel the heft. The racket is good, but I wouldn't recommend it, because it might be a little too heavy for most people, and I'm no exception. I handled last year's model (same weight, diff string pattern) with no problem, but oddly, this one is more tiring on the arm. So now, I use this as my practice racket, and then when I switch to my Blade 98, my swing speed explodes!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
